三菱電機さまの共創空間「Serendie Street Yokohama」での取り組みを、インタビュー記事にてご紹介いただきました。 「組織や立場の異なる『人と人』が交わることは、いわば水と油を混ぜ合わせるようなもの」——三菱電機・泉福剛さまの言葉どおり、共創空間は「つくる」ことよりも「動かし続ける」ことがはるかに難しい領域です。 MIRAI-INSTITUTEからは正心麻里子、彦谷麻由子、髙橋友香の3名が参画。開設から1年で1万8000人を超える来場者を迎え、「Serendieらしさ」が根づきはじめた現場で、私たちが何を考え、どう手を動かしてきたのか。場づくりの実践が具体的に語られています。

Our founder, Teruo Kurosaki, who had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 76. MIDORI.so AOYAMA is a desk-less version of MIDORI.so, located between Aoyama-itchome and Nogizaka stations. It’s a new type of workspace that breaks down “working” into its elements and focuses on “meeting.” This time, we’d like to introduce examples of how the space has been used for events and workshops. MIDORI.so Nihonbashi MIDORI.so Nihonbashi is a workspace where living and working seamlessly blend into one. Check in, and log in. You wake up with the morning light and brew a cup of coffee. In the quiet shared kitchen, you send an email while picking up where you left off yesterday. At night, you jot down an idea that came to you in bed. Here, life and work flow together naturally, moving at your own rhythm.As anthropologist Tim Ingold once said, there are two kinds of movement: “transport” and “wayfaring.” This place resembles wayfaring—a world where detours and meandering thoughts are welcomed.Working doesn’t have to mean reaching a goal as efficiently as possible. Sometimes, in the space between things, you encounter something unexpected that shifts your perspective. It’s in that gentle uncertainty that new ideas can be born. MIDORI.so Nihonbashi is neither just a hotel nor just a workspace. What begins at check-in is a slightly different way of engaging with work—freer, a bit more ambiguous, yet grounded. A place where you can move forward at your own pace.

MODORI.so IKEJIRI MIDORI.so founder Teruo Kurosaki has led the transformation of Japan’s first school-redevelopment project, the “IID Setagaya Monozukuri School,” into a new multi-purpose facility called “HOME/WORK VILLAGE.” Centered around the theme of “facing social issues as homework for our generation, rather than passing them on to the next,” MIDORI.so Ikejiri is located within a space that utilizes former school facilities such as a library and schoolyard. We are now opening a limited number of seats at MIDORI.so NAKAMEGURO— a share office that originated from a DIY renovation of an ivy-covered abandoned building, which inspired its very name. Located just a 12-minute walk from both Shibuya and Nakameguro stations, MIDORI.so attracts a diverse, multinational community of creators. Every day, new encounters and collaborations emerge, creating what we like to call a state of creative chaos. The building also houses a gallery space on the 3rd floor. Our members include filmmakers, art directors, designers, editors, PR specialists, illustrators, engineers, writers, and interior designers — all engaged in various creative fields.

We’re a place to begin. Just a 4-minute walk from Aoyama-itchome Station, this conveniently located venue offers a minimalist and comfortable environment that can accommodate up to 50 guests (30 seated). With its relaxed atmosphere and built-in bar counter, it’s perfect for casual meetups and business networking. Equipped with a projector and kitchen, the space is also ideal for events with food and drinks, meetings, or popup gatherings.
