In Co-Curation with MELLOW TALK, “Ambiguously In Between” will mark the official opening of MIDORI.so Ikejiri Gallery in HOME/WORK VILLAGE. The exhibit gathers works that gently sway between craft and art, function and expression, object and ornament.
Once a vocational junior high school for craft-making, HOMEWORK/Village is now a collaborative space where creativity and community thrive. Like the works it hosts, the site embraces openness—a setting for experimentation, transformation, and discovery. The exhibition reflects this spirit: playful and reflective, much like the junior high years at their best—a time of curiosity, risk-taking, and growth. Through traditional and experimental practices, the works invite us to rethink how we perceive and relate to the objects and spaces around us.
